Deadline

  • Varies depending on the program—contact the program provider for specific dates
  • Materials to be submitted to the Learning Abroad Center must be handed in at least two weeks prior to your departure

Application Checklist

Submit to the Learning Abroad Center after acceptance to program:

  • Learning Abroad Application (see below for additional instructions)

    When completing the top portion, please use the following model to help us identify your program:

      Program Name: Work/Intern/or Volunteer in (Country)
      Sponsor: Program Provider (ex. BUNAC or World Endeavors)
      Program Track/Host Institution: Leave blank

  • CISI Insurance form (not required for graduated students)
  • Release and Waiver (not required for graduated students)
  • Power of Attorney (recommended but not required)

Predeparture Checklist

  • Submit application to Learning Abroad Center.
  • Fill out a Leave of Absence form with your academic adviser (summer term students do not need to do this form). It is likely that you will be dropped from the university if you do not fill out this form.
  • Obtain required travel documents (passport, visa, etc.) and research destination—See Travel Resources for more information.
  • Purchase necessary travel products such as guide book, money belt, etc.
