Academic Structure
Program type: This program is a university study program, which allows you to directly enroll in a foreign university and take classes with host country students. Instruction is in English by Norwegian faculty.
Level: Various levels.
Term: Fall semester, spring semester, academic year.
Prerequisites: Sophomores and above.
Courseload: You will take the equivalent of 15 US credits per semester, which is approximately 30 credits at the University of Oslo.
Coursework
You will choose from a variety of English-taught courses in the faculties of humanities and social sciences. The University of Oslo offers more than 800 English-taught courses in a variety of disciplines and levels. Undergraduate courses at the University of Oslo are offered at the 1000–3000 level. You should check the prerequisites of each course to make sure you have adequate preparation to take the course. 4000 level courses are generally master's level courses, though they are occasionally open to undergraduates who have sufficient preparation in the subject area.
