Print & submit materials to the Learning Abroad Center by the date indicated on your acceptance email:

• Confirmation & Payment Agreement (after completion, a $400 non-refundable deposit is billed to your U of M student finance account)
• Release & Waiver
• Transcript Request (non-University of Minnesota students only)
• IES Medical Form
• IES Waiver
• Photocopy of Passport
  (If you do not have a passport, submit the photocopy separately when you obtain it)

Submit materials electronically by the date indicated on your acceptance email:

• IES Housing Form
• Email one passport-sized photo (see instructions) to the Learning Abroad Center (Rebecca Wilson, wils0952@umn.edu)

Print & submit materials to the Learning Abroad Center prior to departure:

• Academic Planning Form (University of Minnesota–Twin Cities undergraduate students only)
• Copy of notarized Power of Attorney paperwork (optional but strongly recommended)

• Online Confirmation Orientation (U of M students)
• Online Confirmation Orientation (Non U of M students)
• Mandatory online Health & Safety Orientation (emailed at a later time)
• In-person, Program-Specific Orientation (see the Program Dates & Fees page)

Passport & Visa: All students must have a valid passport to enter Germany

• If you already have a passport, make sure that it is valid for the duration of the program, as well as up to six months after your return
• If you do not have a passport, apply for one as soon as possible; go to Travel Documents for more information
• You will receive more detailed visa information later in the process
