  • Learning Abroad Application
On the top portion of the form, please indicate the following to help us identify your program:

Program Name: University Study in South Korea
    Sponsor: LAC
    Program Track/Host Institution: Yonsei University

  • College Transcript(s)
Submit an unofficial copy of your college transcript from each institution you have attended or are currently attending.

  • CIEE Home School Nomination Form
Complete only the top half. The rest will completed by the Learning Abroad Center, and forwarded to CIEE on your behalf.

Complete and submit the following pieces to CIEE:

  • Application Fee
You do not need to pay the $30 application fee. CIEE has waived this fee for University of Minnesota students. You also do not need to pay the $340 school of record fee, since this transcript processing service is already covered by your University of Minnesota program fee.

  • CIEE Application
You must complete and submit your application online. Print the CIEE application instructions before you start. After completing your online application, print out the Home School Nomination and Evaluation forms  and forward to the appropriate people to complete. Mail your official transcript(s), completed evaluation forms, and photos directly to CIEE. You do not need to include the home school nomination form because you will submit it to the Learning Abroad Center. It is your responsibility to remain in contact with CIEE to be certain that your application is complete by the application deadline. The Learning Abroad Center's deadlines are earlier than CIEE's published deadlines to allow us time to forward the Home School Nomination form to CIEE by their published deadline.
  • Personal Statement
This is completed and submitted online as part of the CIEE application.
  • Official Transcript(s)
Submit an official copy of your college transcript from each institution you have attended or are currently attending.

  • Two Evaluation Forms
Refer to CIEE application for special instructions and guidelines for selecting evaluators.

  • Ten Passport Photos
Write your full name and program site on the back of the photos.

  • Scholarship Application/Financial Aid Administrator Form
(Optional) If you are applying for CIEE scholarships, you must first meet with the Office of Student Finance (612.624.1111 for Twin Cities students) or your home campus' financial aid office to complete this form, and submit the completed form directly to CIEE. Under item 4, check the "CIEE Program Fee plus Administrative Fee" box. Program fees are listed on the budget estimate.  You may mail the CIEE Scholarship application separately from your program application.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a University of Minnesota sponsored program which is offered in partnership with CIEE. This is why you will complete application materials for both the Learning Abroad Center and CIEE.
