Academic Structure
Program type: Study & Internships in Sydney is a study abroad center program. As such, program participants receive a lot of support from on-site staff and take classes with other US students. Classes are taught by Australian faculty.
Level: Upper-division coursework on Australian area studies.
Term: Fall semester, spring semester, summer session.
Prerequisites: 2.5 GPA
Courseload: 13-16 for fall or spring semester, 6 for summer session.

Global Identity: Connecting Your International Experience with Your Future
This 1-credit online course will help you:
- process your overseas experience and apply what you learn upon your return
- understand intercultural lingo and relate it to your experience
- reflect on the multiple layers of cross-cultural experiences
- market your study abroad experience for future career goals.

Enroll in 6 credit internship OR
Enroll in 3 credit internship and SDNY 3011 - Australian Government & Politics in the Pacific Rim Context (3 credits) Total of 6 credits
Internships
Internship placements are available in almost any field. Participants earn 3 or 6 credits through the internship combined with the Perspectives on Experiential Learning Abroad course.
Past internships have been in the fields listed below, but it is not a complete list. If you do not see the field that you are interested in listed, please inquire at the Learning Abroad Center about the possibility of doing an internship in that field.
