Confirmation Checklist

Follow this checklist to confirm your place in the program.

Note: If you plan to use financial aid (loans, grants, scholarships) to cover costs for your study abroad experience, you are encouraged to schedule a financial aid preview meeting prior to submitting your confirmation deposit.

Passport & Visa: All students must have a valid passport and visa in order to enter Kenya

  • If you already have a passport, make sure that it is valid for the duration of the program, as well as up to six months after your return
  • If you do not have a passport, apply for one as soon as possible; go to Travel Documents for more information

Group Flight
The Learning Abroad Center organizes a group flight for all MSID programs. Students must travel on the group flight or arrive within 4–6 hours of the group flight. Group flights are announced in November and May. Students cannot arrive early or late to the program.
