Academic Policies

Home > Policies > Academic Policies

All study abroad participants (including participants on Learning Abroad Center, collegiate or departmental, cosponsored, or unaffiliated outside programs and exchanges) are expected to read and understand the academic policy information included on these pages. Non-University of Minnesota student participants are temporarily admitted as non-degree seeking students and are also covered by these policies, though a student's home university may have additional policies which also apply. Students from other institutions are urged to ask about and understand their home university's academic policies with regard to study abroad participation, credit, and grades.

The Learning Abroad Center collaborates closely with University of Minnesota colleges, the Registrar's office and the Office of Student Finance to develop and apply academic policies. Learning Abroad Center advisers are available to assist you with questions.
