Health and Safety
The health and safety of students on education abroad opportunities are top priorities of the Learning Abroad Center. Comprehensive resources and safety updates can be found on the Health and Safety web page.
Insurance
All students are required to enroll in CISI insurance regardless of current coverage the student or student's family may have. The cost of this insurance is often built into the program fee of study abroad programs. Enrollment in CISI insurance is facilitated by Learning Abroad Center staff. Visit the international insurance web page for additional information.
Emergencies
In the event of a political, social, health, or natural emergency,
the Learning Abroad Center is in close contact with the on-site
staff for any study abroad program offered through the Learning
Abroad Center. The on-site staff in turn seek advice from the
local authorities and the US Consulate or Embassy nearest to the program
location. Remain in contact with the on-site staff in
an emergency situation.
