Meals
There are many great restaurants in town. A useful tool is the city search guide.

Here are some areas in Minneapolis where you can find many good restaurants and their proximity to campus:

  • West Bank - This area runs right into campus and the Learning Abroad Center offices. There are many great ethnic and reasonably-priced restaurants.
  • Dinkytown - Close to the East Bank of campus Dinkytown offers a smaller selection of interesting restaurants.
  • Nicollet Ave or “Eat Street” - Off campus, this avenue has some of the best Vietnamese pho and Asian markets in the metro area. You can also find some Mexican restaurants and a range of prices.
  • Downtown - Ten minutes in a taxi from the West Bank you can find high end restaurants to Irish pubs. Look around Hennepin, First Avenue, and Nicollet (which is a pedestrian mall downtown) for many great options.
  • Uptown - About 20 minutes in a taxi, this trendy area of town has great shopping, cinemas, and places to eat.
