Student Peer Advisor Position:
- Work Hours:
- 8:30am-6:00pm on Mondays & 8:30am-4:30pm Tuesdays-Fridays.
- Work Days:
- M-F (hours to be arranged)
- Total Hours:
- Part-Time, 10-20hrs/week.
- Starting Hourly Rate:
- $8.50
- Required/Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior participation in a study abroad program is required. Should have the ability to organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced office; be punctual, conscientious and detail-oriented. Must be able to interact with student, staff and visitors in a pleasant and professional manner. Must be comfortable speaking in front of groups. Knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and PeopleSoft is desirable. Some retail and/or administrative experience preferred.
- Duties/Responsibilities:
- Reception support; answer phones, greet students &
guests, intake application & confirmation materials. 50% - Provide travel services; take passport photos, sell and
advise on products, use cash register. 20% - Student outreach/advising; lead study abroad
First-Step orientation sessions. 10% - Administrative functions; database information &
restock resource center supplies. 10% - Other projects as assigned. 10%
