Gayle Woodruff becomes chair of NAFSA's Teaching, Learning and Scholarship Knowledge Community committee

Sarah Tschida receives MA in Comparative International Development and Education.

Sarah's final paper is entitled "Minority in the Majority: Heritage-Related Study Abroad Experiences", and is an ethnography of Hmong American students who participated in a study abroad program to Thailand and Laos. The ethnography focuses on the heritage seeking study abroad experiences of refugees and examines motives, expectations, and lived experiences through the students' own voices. Heritage related study abroad experiences are also examined as a way to increase multicultural student participation in education abroad.

Jodi Malmgren presents two sessions, "What Not to Do: Tips for Successful CVs and Interviews" and will present a poster session on the Fulbright IEA Seminars.

Gayle Woodruff participates in meetings and hosting activities for NAFSA's Teaching, Learning, and Scholarship (TLS) Knowledge Community in her capacity as chair-elect for the TLS leadership team beginning on Sunday throughout the week. She also presents a poster in the "Internationalizing the Campus & Curriculum" poster fair with Yuki Watanabe and will be an evaluator for the Colloquium on Internationalizing Business Education.

Martha Johnson presents "Writing the World: Representation and Post-reciprocity in Education Abroad."
